I am starting to do some "homework" on the drive shaft for my Duster. I am getting ready to swap in the 440&727 and am going to need a new driveshaft. I have tossed up a couple of places that have something similar to (or can build) what I am looking for.

This is the first time I have done a swap like this and have never ordered a drive shaft. So I need some advice, what are some of the things to look out for when shopping and ordering? Are there any questions I should ask?

I would love to have a 3-1/2" DOM Drive shaft with a .083 wall. I am running a 727 and an 8-3/4 with 7290 U-Joints. But I imagine that the .065 wall wouldn't make that much difference since the car won't see THAT much track time.

If any one has any suggestions, comments, or advice - It would be greatly appreciated!

I used driveshaft specialist for my 66...great measuring tutorial on the site, they walked me through everything and it fit perfect, fast from start to finish ... I think they have what you want in 3 1/2 also in Pro Series

Driveshafts Unlimited in Arnold, MO. They handle everything from drag cars to dump trucks with literally everything in between.

I had the driveshaft in my wife's '70 Barracuda made from scratch in a day. You would not have to worry about shipping either.
