If you have disc brakes on the front, there is a proportioning valve between the brake line distribution block and the rear end. It is different than the photo shown and is called the proportioning valve. It mounts to the frame just where it starts to go under the front floorboard.

Thanks for all the info. I went to(Inline Tubes)web site. They said both the valves were used on a- bodies. They also make brackets for the Texas shaped valve. I wonder which valve they chose to use on my car? Thank You!!! Scott

Why the ? The factory used both valves with disc brakes , the first picture is of a distribution block , no valving , the second is the proportioning valve .

The 71-72 A bodies with KH 4 piston had a combination distribution block proportioning valve (???) , I bought one over the weekend at Carlisle from Fine Lines , it eliminates the 2 piece rear line. I'm going to be trying it in a car I'm working on for a friend first and see how it works . I also have the valve from my dads 72 duster that I parted years ago to see if its the same piece ???

Thanks Johnrr for clearing things up. I am a slow learner.Inline tube carries both the combination distribution/ proportioning valve and the two seperate piece set up (Part #blk245). I want the setup to be factory correct.I am going with your advice. I will be completing the brakes as soon as my parts come. The little green guy I posted looked like he was looking up at all the info for reference thats why I used him.
