Does anyone know where to buy these, my temp gauge started acting goofy and my fuel gauge doesnt work. Could this be the problem? It's on a 67 dart if it matters..

It is part of the gas gauge, the gas gauge has three terminals on it, one for 12V in one for 5V out to the other gauges and one from the sending unit.

I do not remember which is which, but...

So you need a new gas gauge or do some "creative" wiring to use a 7805 (solid state V reg replacement) - as I have done...

So, your saying that it does controll the fuel gauge.
They are not avalible anywhere?

It is integral to the fuel gauge, it is not replaceable separate; you need to get a new fuel gauge or "hack" it to use an external regulator (which is what I have done)

We must be talking about two differant things, The part I'm talking about plugs into the back of the circut board on the left side of the cluster. It's about an 1 1/2" long and has three like prongs on it.

Thanks, thats it. Now, if this is bad, will it effect the fuel and temp gauge?

I had both my gas and temp indicator reading 1/2 of what they were suppose to read and changed the regulator and it fixed the problem the voltage reg brings 5v to the (two conections per instrument)temp and fuel guage..... both guages other terminal goes to ground. fuel indicator goes thru the fuel pickup and the temp thru the temp thermostat...both acting as variable resistors so if both are giving you bad reading that VR is a logical guess but until you change it and see ya don't really know HOPE THAT EXPLAINATION MAKES SENSE!!!

You are right - that is different... the 67 barracuda is different.... I thought all a-bodies did it through the fuel gauge.

The voltage reg is used by the fuel gauge, temp gauge and the oil pressure (not the amp gauge though)

No oil pressure guage in a 67-69 Dart. But, yes the IVR controls voltage to the fuel guage and the temp guage.

Only the rallye type dash(round speedo and round gauge cluster) has the volt limiter built in. 67 dart should use the plug in limiter like many B bodies.

And the "rallye" dash wasn't available in a 67 Dart....

If you take a test light and hook it between any of the sender wires and ground it should show a steady blinking. If it does then the limiter is working correctly.
