Hey guys I've got a question for you. My fathers AAR has been having some braking problems lately. It started with fluid leaking out the cap. We swapped caps, then put on two different master cylinders in the past. We also have been having a problem with the line lock on the front not holding the car doing a burnout.
Well today we installed a brand new master cylinder, and proceeded to bleed the brakes starting at the right rear, then left rear, then went to right front. Nothing comes out of the front calipers, nothing, we hooked up a vacuum pump and only got what looked to be burnt brake fluid out (very small amount), the front brakes do not work when tried either.
Any ideas? Do we have another bad master cylinder? Could the porportioning valve be doing this?

I know nothing about line locks, but the "regular" braking system is easy to trouble shoot. But I almost never bother on old cars. I simply go ahead and replace everything with NEW (not rebuilt) items and all is fine for more decades to come.

The dark fluid sure looks like you've been contaminated with water (moisture), and you probably have rust in your lines, and the PV may be clogged, or simply off center. No matter what, you need to get it cleaned out. A few bucks spent on new rubber and steel lines is a good start, then you can find the other problems as you go (frozen calipers, bad PV, etc.).

I just guessing that the line lock is stuck shut and not leting the fluid threw? mabe loosen the line before on the line lock and pump the brakes and see is something comes out. If so then the line lock is shot.

We have the stainless steel lines and fairly new rubber lines on it. I think I found the problem, we have fluid and pressure on both sides of the line lock solenoid, however when you get to the pressure delay block I have pressure going in, but nothing coming out, no matter how hard you push the pedal.
I am guessing the valve is stuck in there because as I understand it, it should allow pressure through over 125psi.
Now, to find one of those things........

there's a cap on the block. remove it and take out the valve. clean things up as well as you can. I couldn't get fluid to my rear brakes due to buildup on the valve. took it out and cleaned things up and, Voila! Brakes!
