I'm wanting to adjust my timing and have learned that a dial in timing light is better for really optimizing things. mechanical timing and all. though i'm still learning what mechanical timein is...

So I took my new inductive timeing light back to napa. (I've moved away from the friend who "borrowed" my last one) "never lend out your tools or music...." started looking for the more ?advanced? dail in one. Napa's was over priced as I had already checked jc whitney.

I need help choosing which one to buy. I don't know what I'm doing yet but am trying to learn. Here's the choices at jcwhitney.

I'm guessing I'm looking for all the ones that say advance in the name right?

I'm thinking of the one for 103.99. The additinal tests available might be worth the extra money? but it doesn't say that it can do the mechanical timing.

only the one for 72.99 specifically says mechanical timing.

The one for 134.99 seems a bit pricy and the additional features are all ready handled by my tach.

perhaps i'm overthinking it but i bought the car for a daily driver and every mpg counts with the price of gas these days.

Mine came from Sears. It's chrome with a dial on the back. It reads the same as my non dial back Sears light. I think it was around 50 bucks.
