I ordered a set of the "bench seat" seat belts for my '70 Dart, but as far as I can see it is IMPOSSIBLE to mount them. The shoulder belt anchor and the retractor are both supposed to mount to the stock belt anchor by the seat. But there is no clearance with the seat in my normal driving position, and I can't even do it with the seat all the way forward with my knees under my chin.

I guess I already know this won't work, (and why XV doesn't have any photos of a bench seat install on their site) but I thought I would survey the wisdom of the Moparts community before I try to return the belts.

Here is a photo of the mounting area with my seat in the usual mounting position.

Some see the glass as half empty, some see the glass as half full. I just drink straight out of the bottle.

I have buckets, but ran into a similar install. I turned the retractor to face the rear, and removed a piece of trim from the seat base to improve clearance. Only draw back is that the retractor does not snap back as much as I'd like.
