I have a 360, 10-1 compression, 294 solid cam, Edelbrock heads, and a 750 double pumper carb with 72 and 80 jets in it. What would it take to run E85 and would it run any faster? It runs 7.18's and 96 in the 1/8th. I am of course looking for the 6.99 timeslip. I am also thinking about changing my 727 for a 904 but I am not sure that will get the .2 either. I run a 3800 stall. What do you think?

You would need A BUNCH more compression ratio. With the Eddy heads ... probably FOUR POINTS

I am no 1/8 mile guy ... but I would GUESS at something like 6 to 8 tenths ET reduction going that route.

Some combos the low geared 904 can give you .2 over the 727 and yours sounds like it could possibly do that.

For e-85 you just need an e-85 carb, it could be worth .1 or .2 by itself. I gotta agree with doc, it would really like it if you bumped the compression 3 or 4 points though and it would easily be worth more than .2 in that case.

are you running race gas now? if you need to use 108 or better race gas then the switch to E85 will be benificial for you. fuel savings and a cooler running engine alone is great. i have also seen a power increase to boot. but even if it still makes the same power as E85 the cost and temp change are worth it.

i run a 750 holley D.P. with a proform main body on my dads car and runs 11.0's with E85. your compressin will be fine.
