yeah, that's what i mean about torque, granny shift it, bad air, street gears, heck leave it in "d"...the motor just don't care.

this is more of a bracket motor for my little Rocky...I'm aiming to go 6.90's in the 1/8th and high 10's in the quarter so i gotta turn the RPM wick up just a tad. Of course I could go down to a 3.55 gear and still run 7.30's/11.50's with the heads as they are .....naah! too easy!!

my feelin eddy head will run w a w2 till about 600+lift then w2 has little more

AWB...yeah that's about right (.500-.550) by my my measure too. My cam is only .570 lift (.552 w/lash)

Ryan's Stage 2 job will be perfect for what I need (the E's are also a little better under the curve) to get me safely in the 5 zone....plus give the motor the extra wind-out RPM on the top end to run my gears (4.56) in the quarter.

hey street, my 340 stroked w flat top pistons 10.5 to 1comp pump gas w a bullet flat tappet cam 255/255 580lift cam was 10.80's and still had more in a 3200lb dart..with some port worked eddy's..3500 stall ati conv 28x10 cal trac car.the motor on ray bartons site(small block) is my actual motor..b 4 i went w my new stuff
