I am completing my restoration on my 1971 Charter R/T and am trying to locate some parts for a Carter AVS. I am looking for the secondary air valve adjustment spring and the adjusting cylinder or I think some people call it the adjusting bearing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.... I will display a photo.
I am actually interested in the adjusting cylinder with the two tongs. Good used parts will do fine...

Scott Harms might be able to help.

If not try Daytona parts they had some pretty obscure parts I needed.

That would be me but I don't sell carb parts, I just offer OE restoration services. I do keep cores on hand to handle small parts replacements such as your'e having issues with, I don't sell them basically because I know when I need them I don't have to hunt down small detailing parts. If you need your carb restored I'll replace the parts you need at no extra charge. If you shop around you'll probably find what you want pretty quickly and rather inexpensively.

Regards,
Scott

Sorry for my lack of Knowledge. I have already restored my carb., but I went to make a tension adjustment, with the locking screw loose, and one tong just broke. Lucky me...

I HATE when that happens

I understand, but like I said, not a rare part to hunt down. try the Moparts parts section, or maybe ebay for a cheap parts carb that has the items you need, never hurts to have a spare around for other parts anyway. You might find that NAPA or other parts stores has something that will work as a replacement, but it will likely look a bit different.

Good luck!
