i have comp cams 268XE, ld340 and eddy 650 carb, stock 84 360 bottom end and fresh stock 360 heads going in a 77 shortbed truck with a 3.21 sure grip rear. i have headders and 2.25 dual exhaust with X pipe and cherry bomb turbo mufflers.

any stock converters up to this combo for a driver? don't want anything radical, just good low end response. have the 84 360 unit but have not measured it. thanks, jp in ks.

i pull an 18 foot tilt trailer that is close to 83 inches wide. heaviest load would be a c-body or truck. i have a trans cooler also. the stock 318, 2V has held up well so far with this trailer combination. i tow a few times a month, nothing real regular, just when i need to. thanks, jP.

I would use a 1800-2000 rpm stall since you have that cam and the 3.21 gears. It will help pull the trailer better, and will still drive around town nice.

what about almost the same set up and rear gear except with KB 107s zero decked and no towing, just street fun, would the same stall be good to?
its going in a 84 short box
