otrAlive OP member O Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 17 Maryland	71' 340 Duster. I've been working on a restoration of my car for about 7 months and soon I'll be ready to crank it up. Is there anything I should do to the engine prior to starting it? i. e. manually turning it over, oil in the cylinders, etc?. thanks

cyphre666 Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 1,233 Eastern North Carolina	If you want to got thru the process of priming the oil system, would be better. I would think at the least, pull the plugs and spin it over til you get Oil Pressure. Other than that, just fire it up.

MoparforLife Too Many Posts M Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 25,200 Upper Midwest	If it has been run - make sure that it has a good charged battery and start it. Hell look at all the seasonal engines that are put up in the fall and not started again till summer. No big deal.
