Ok, I'm trying to remember what these were for, and failing miserably in the process... but then again I probably removed them from the car over 7 years ago when I first stripped the interior to get the car painted, so that's a stretch Anyone have a clue as to what they were used on?

I should've thrown in a ruler in the photo- sorry about that- but each 'O' ring is about 1/2" in diameter and roughly 1/8" thick. They're not exactly shaped like 'O' rings as they're flat, like they were cut from a length of rubber tubing (but weren't). Also, each ring has 3 small projections in the inner circumfrence.

WHat I know of them is:

1) They're out of a '69 Dodge Charger
2) They're part of the interior. BUT I have no idea exactly where in the interior they're from. I might add that while I dont think they're part of the door/window mechanisms, there is a small chance that they could be and that I'm wrong about that.
3) I have 2 of them, so I'm assuming that only 2 were used per car.

If anyone needs better photos, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks much!
David

Good guess! But nowhere big enough to fit on a seat belt anchor bolt....

Are they the little things that go on the instrument cluster..between the housing and the bezel to kinda seal it for the turn signal bulbs?

If that makes sense.

That was my first thought, too. But upon closer inspection they look too thick and have the 3 prongs on them....

Oh- yea I know what you mean (I've had my instrument panel apart before), but no- they aren't. Those IP rings I think are somewhat larger (~1" dia?).

With the car being from the hippie era, they almost look like the seals from the small plastic bongs sold in the 70`s, anything else odd found in the car?

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your point of view) no, didn't find anything non-Mopar issue when I tore out the interior. However, I did find a couple of Miller beer 'pony' bottles hiding in the rear passenger quarter panel....
