My nephew got the Mopar bug a few yrs ago & bought a 69 SuperBee (against my advice) & had it "restored" by a guy out of state. He just got it after 3 yrs & the dash electrics are a mess. Heater won't shut off, coolant boils out, etc.
I think the motor & drivetrain were done well, but he needs someone in the LA area (beach cities), to fix his dash harness/gauge problems & inspect all the other work that was supposedly done. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I know a good Mopar guy in El Cajon, but that's 2 hrs away from my nephew.
I sure hate to see him get hosed, so thanks for any names & contact info.

For what it's worth I know a terrific Mopar mechanic, but he is in the Thousand Oaks area, right at the LA county/Ventura County border. He eats, sleeps, and breaths Mopars. His personal car won the Mopars at the Strip real street challenge a couple of years back. His name is Alex Baker @ AB Automotive and his phone number is 805-495-9797. He also has a side business for parts and a website @ www.coolparts4u.com that you can check out.

Matt, thanks a lot. I'll relay the info to my nephew.

So, who is your guy in El Cajon? And does he do engines?

His name is Jack Hinton. I'll PM you w/ his #, hopefully later today. I've got to go thru my files & piles to find it. I fractured my oil pan on my hemi chally last yr the day before I was to do burnouts on the deck of the USS Midway & Jack performed a miracle on the car. Very impressed by how thorough & skilled he is.

His name is Jack Henton,
He's a good friend of mine, VERY VERY honest, a lot of experience in Mopars (he'll work on other brands with no problem, but he's a die hard Mopar fan).
He gets a lot cars that were screwed up by other shops and fixes them.
His number is 619-454-1396. You can tell him Ran reccomended him,in addition to TriggerFish.

"Hey mister, something's wrong with your car, it idles roughly" - number one comment I got in Israel when daily driving a 70 Barracuda with a lopey cam.

Currently working on - 1966 Dodge A100 van 318/auto
Finally - disc brakes on the front.
In the plans - rear disc brakes, B&M 250 blower

My buddy Andy runs his shop "Hall Associates: The Shop" in Torrance. Its about as Beach city as you can get. Huge shop, lots of guys in there and they all know their stuff. Andy is NASCAR frame certified and does the muscle and import scene. Tell him Pete with the 69 Charger sent him over. I already sent my ex over there with her 74 Nova for him to handle it as I am "relocated"

He is on Mariposa and Sepulveda, just one block east of Normandie...
