Any recommendations on catback exhaust systems? This would be for a 2005 Magnum w/ a 5.7. I am looking for something mre free flowing than stock w/ a little tone to it, but not too loud.

W/ the stock exhaust, it is so quiet I can't even hear if it's running!

Many different options:

Magnaflow: Quiet at idle, loud when on the gas
Flowmaster: What I have, loud all of the time; great tone
Blastin Bobs: Loud on the throttle
Borla: Fairly quiet
Corsa: Load when on the throttle

All of these are choices. Remember, taking the rear resonators off or not will make a big difference in how loud and how aftermarket mufflers will sound. The large suitcase muffler up front is what will be replaced, if aftermarket mufflers are chosen.

For now, you may just want to remove the resos and see how it sounds. Again, they are the two canisters in the rear of the car.

I want something that flows better than stock to improve the mileage.

How is the Dynomax system? Anyone used that?

I would consider Flowmaster, but I don't know if I want it that loud.

Also, since I haven't been under it yet, are the factory exhausts systems bolted or welded together - ie - do I need to cut it out to replace it?

Thanks!
