What is the max safe overbore on a '72 motorhome 413--the kind with the weird heads and water pump deal. Just want a ball park answer since I haven't bought it yet and it is still in the motorhome so I can't get it sonic checked. thanks

as in most cases .060 max I believe

IIRC the 413 bore is the same as a 383, I may be wrong tho..

I am truckless..

Bore is ~4.18 compared to 383/426 at 4.25. I thought I heard somewhere that these 413 industrial blocks could be bored to 4.32 or more .

Safe overbore is less. Try to minimize the bore job, makes for a better ring seal for more power with a thicker(less flex) jug. Look at the middle of the page by Larry Shepard, http://www.mopar.com/muscle/tech1005.htm
