i have been working on this project since 12/28/07,start date, i was just going to put a 440/727 into by 68'dodge coronet 318/904 and change from pea green to plum crazy purple now over 2.5 years later and whole lot of money and a ebay junkie, i have transformed by car into a factory spec R/T with all the original parts, pick from junk yards and ebay. the last pic is where i am today, i hope you enjoy the show Randy

sounds like you have a plan, not like me, i went to a big car show and come home and dismantled my car down to a shell, and i spent the last 3years pieces it back together , it is better to have all the parts, i have spent alot of money because i needed the part now, and no time to shop around, that coronet web site is cool, i have not been there, i will sign out , hope to see ya soon, keep me posted on the project, i may be able to give you some advice, Randy

look at what i scored for the project, a 69 f440 , complete reman. motor, been on crate for 2years, never installed, i bought from a guy who got it from the original buyer who owed him some money, i could not even buy the rebuild kit for what i got this thing for, so now the 73 440 comes out and the almost correct motor 69'440 goes in, it is the c-body 350hp motor, i am going to bump up the cam , 750 holley, headers, and about a 2800 stall , already have 3.55 sure grip, i will give up date, i got to sell the current 440 to finance the new motor

thanks, i have spent 3years and alot of $$$$, people do not understand the feeling of firing up a old mopar and sitting in the seat and feeling all the raw power of a big block 440 , original price of the car 3500.00, 20,000 restoration cost, watching every full blooded american man go nuts when i drive by them, PRICELESS!

Damn Randy.... I'm in the SAME boat... paid $5,500.00 for my car and over the 20G's mark so far on the resto. I really like your car, just a question. Why did you go with a non-original color on a 68? I'm doing the exact color combo on my 70... just had to ask.

Randy, a nice tribute to your father and the car he once had. Yours is sweet, love the color combo and looking forward to the purple steel wheels. It's the same color combo I doing on my 70.....
Congrats on a super cool ride... and doing it your way!

did some little detail work under the hood, this is no show boat, however, it is a decent driver, i got the correct decals, new pie tin, and new voltage reg., next job is to do something with that ugly spot where the factory air went

thanks for all the compliments, i am trying to keep it stock looking however inject some person touches, this is a driver and not a trailer queen, these cars are made to drive and they look pretty good doing it. the only down side to driver car, always working on it, never finished i am hoping to make it to biloxi ms the 1st week on oct. for cruising the coast, this will be my first show after 4years of hard work. this is more of a cruise in than a car show, everybody is driving their cars not just on trailers.

the R/T is blacked out and the coronet 440 has the silver lines in them. i have attached a pic of mine and yes doing the blacked out is easier that getting the silver lines , i used Kraylon satin black matched the color perfect. your car sounds great, i love the high impact colors!

new tires and wheels, ready for the 1st trip!!
looks really nice!
I like the way it sits just a little high all around. What are you using out back for springs?
I like it sans stripe actually.

the rear r/t badge is designed to fit on the tail panel, it is cut to fit just right
Right, I have it there, with the 2 pegs sticking through the holes I drilled in the tail panel. What I am asking is what holds the pegs in the holes? This was a Coronet 500 panel, but if I remember correctly when I removed the 500 emblem the pegs were basically melted/mushroomed into place.
