A lot of members recomend that I add an alt to my race car. Does anyone make brackets for a RB with a Milodon gear drive and a MSD crank trigger set up? I may be able to move the crank trigger from passengers side to the drivers side with little problem. The oil filter is remote with only oil lines running from oil pump cover.
Also seems that the Toyota alt is prefered by many. What does it come off of?
Thanks,
Brian Dunnigan

Get the one from Mike Doty that also has the CT mount... I think you can get one through Mancini.

Nice Alt mount, i'll have to look into that.

I mounted my crank trigger on the drivers side so its by itself.

What kind of water pump do you have? Do you have a motor plate? There are a lot of alternator kits out there but you didn't provide enough info.

Andy, I have a modified S & W motor plate, 1/4" alum plate, sandwitched between stock block and a CSI water pump (early CSR). I also use a mostly stock K member.
It looks like the most obvious place to install is lower passenger side. I can move the crank trigger to drivers side, so that will free up some space.
I can fabricate my own brackets, but due to time constraints, if I can find something that will work for me, it might be my best option. I will also need a crank pully and belt, so a kit might be best.
Thanks, Brian

Here is one of the Mancini Racing kits. It may work for you, depends on your motor plate. These are designed to work with the Mancini motorplates which are curved on the lower side.
