I need to know if the front bumpers on a 72 will identically bolt on a 71?? Does the grill bolt in the same locations?? I realize the 72's have slots and the 71's don't, but that doesn't bother me. Tri City has a 72 bumper that is ready now, and if I leave my 71 it will take 14-16 weeks and either a trip back to TN or shipping on a bumper and I was just going to swap my 71 for his completed 72 IF they are DIRECT bolt on swaps.

the bumper are ALMOST the same. the only difference is on 72 there is a slot cut out for the jack. 71 uses a hook so it doesn't have a slot.
i have a 71 bumper on my 72 road runner now. the grille and brackets bolted up without any problems. when i bolted it on i didn't even notice it was a 71 bumper until i was checking it for straightness. after 5 years of going to shows maybe only 3 people have ever noticed it.

I have a NOS 72 bumper I would trade for a NOS 71 bumper,typical 30+ year old shelf scratches.
