I don't know exactly based on your option list but if you figure 3200-3400 you'll be pretty darn close. If you do some "creative" lightening around 2,900 should be attainable without to much headache. If you want to built a FAST Duster I'd suggest a 71-72 because of the better TQ carb *That white 71 was sure running hard to run an 11.66 Must have a well planned and put together small block in that bad boy!

Tom,
My Duster, when it was in the setup you described other than power brakes weighed 3250 at E-town with a full tank of gas and me (220lbs) in it and I wasn't that creative with lightening this car.
That is a 72 but I don't know what would be much different.
Watching Jeff run 11.66 in a Duster got you thinkin'??? That sure is making me itch to put the real motor in......

Tom,
My car weighs 3060. I havent done a whole lot of lightening. The trany, converter and fluid probably weigh more than a trick aluminum 4 spd and flywheel.
I did use a sealed lead acid battery, alum driveshaft and lighter drums, but after spending the money there I found I needed to add 230 lbs in the trunk in order to go anywhere on polyglass.
As good as the car runs I think there is alot more someone could do if they were willing to spend the money. The duster is the result of a fairly low buck effort, with almost all the work done at home, things that I'm sure could be done better (like a set of pro ported heads). Also no roller cam.
I think someone could get well below 11.50. Thats another thing, I really dont want to put a roll bar in the car. Although I wouldnt mind having that dilema.
BTW thanks everyone for the compliments.

Not a thing wrong with your question. Just goes to show that weights vary with years and options. On 75 I have the seats out, glass hood, glass front bumper, crash bars in doors removed, crash bumper system junked and bumpers mounted with light 1 inch aluminum strap metal, light weight aluminum racing wheels, add back in 6 point bar and I am down to about 3000 lb race weight with my 135 and full 4 gallon cell in it. Runs low 11.40's at home track.
Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks.
But: Don't fix it, if it Works!
