just looking for some insight on something that i observed on these two cars that i own. the satellite that i recently purchased has the serial number stamped in the radiator support and the left top cowl area.the roadrunner is not stamped in these areas, and i have not been able to find any chassis stampings. i have owned the roadrunner since 1975, so i doubt that someone altered the numbers before i purchased the car. i also have the original window sticker for the roadrunner, and it shows a final assembly point of hamtramck but the 7th digit is R,indicating the windsor plant.the satellite has a 7th digit of E, indicating the los angeles plant. did different plants stamp in different areas? is it possible that some cars did not get stamped at all?

I believe all 71 Plymouth Bs should have the radiator support stamped. As for the cowl, I've seen other cars that were not stamped there (my early built LA road runner included). Your R coded car was built in Winsor. LA, Winsor, and St. Louis were the only three plants building 2dr Plymouth Bs for the 71 model year.
