just wondering if there is a way to clean the inside of a fuel cell asking because the car i bought been sitting in my garage for 1 yr maybe been sitting else were longer 8 gal w/foam..........Thanks 4 the help


71 demon stock stroke 440/indy ez-1 running 10.10 @ 132.14 mph in the 1/4 and 6.36 @ 107.46 mph in the 1/8 not in the same weekend but It did it then I sold it.

You can pull all the foam out and clean the inside with water or solvent. I would remove the cell from the car and flush it out. Summit sells new foam if the old stuff is crumbling.

That is the same tank I have. Pull the ring off then pull the foam out. If in good shape, reuse it. As stated earlier, take the tank out and wash it out. Reinstall foam and you're good to go!

Wow i pulled the foam out last nite and today my garage smells like old rotten eggs.

I'm waiting for my new fuel cell to arrive. It was so old it finally cracked in several places. I'm sure living where it bakes in the trailer didn't help in that area at all.
