I am restoring my 71 challenger and am looking for seat covers, door panels, and a dash pad. Where would I find the most authentic looking panels? I've heard they are either way off on grain pattern or they don't fit right. Any help would be appreciated!!

I see 50 views and no reply. Does that mean that no one has had or knows someone that has had interior work, or is it just a quiet day today? It would be great to have some feedback guys. Thanks.....

Hi,

Thanks for asking on Moparts.

Seat Covers: Legendary Interiors offers the best repro covers currently.

Dash Pad: Send your original to Just Dashes to be re-cast, quality is excellent.

Door Panels: This will be the hardest one...I highly recommend hunting down a nice used original set. Black sets survived the best and didn't fall victim to the UV rays as bad as the colored panels. You can re-dye the OEM set and you'll be very happy.

You can also get a dash pad from

I use them an I am very happy with there pads just get the metal backed ones and you will have to send them a core or be charged extra. You do have to do some minor trimming. If you use Just Dashes there is or was a long wait and the cost in my opinion is nuts.

I have used the Palco interior panels. Like above they can be a pain in the butt to fit but with patience and a little trimming here and there they will look decent. Like they said the grain is off a bit. I can send you some pics of the door panels and dash pads I put in a Cuda.

Seat covers definitely use legendary.

I did what was mentioned above. I just sold a Chally 'vert with original red interior. The originals were all shot, so I dyed original front panels that I found on Ebag, and bought the Palco rears and dyed them as well. It came out real nice. I'll post pix if I can find them on my thumbdrive

I have found that the Palco panels fit much better on the Challengers than they do on the Cudas. But that was on one Cuda and one Challenger I was working with.

Here's a couple of pix of the interior of the car I just sold...

Again, the frnt panels were original I found on Ebag and re-dyed red, the rears I got from Dantes' parts were Palcos and dyed red. Came out nice for a cruiser.

I had the same problem with mine. they were beat from sun and had holes cut in them good luck finding used ones with no holes.
I sent mine out to get redone and was not happy used a place called dash specialist. they did a bad job so got reops from Dante.
If i get them redone i would use just dashes like i used for the dash.
Stay away from dash specialist it was a total waste of my $$$$
