How can I "freshen up" the plastic fan shroud on my Duster? I cleaned it up real good, but the plastic still seems faded. Is there a way to make the black plastic look like new?

paint it! They sell aerosol paint just for the black plastic trim on the outside of the car that takes a beating from the sun. I have used it and it works well.

Use Mothers Back to Black
I used it on my go wing before we went to Vegas for MATS and it still looks just as good as the day I did it

Back-to-Black®
As your ride’s exterior ages, rubber, plastic and vinyl exterior hardware of all colors will dry, crack, flake and deteriorate. This oxidation can be stopped and reversed with Mothers® Back-to-Black®, our favorite auto-care concoction. This trim treatment is great for all sorts of exterior hardware in all colors — bumpers, molding, louvers, window trim, vents, seals, skirts, door handles, wiper arms-anything that’s plastic, rubber or vinyl. Apply Back-to-Black® to sun-burnt plastic, rubber and vinyl to revive the factory-new sheen, then re-treat that exterior hardware regularly.

Thanks, folks. I recently purchased some Krylon Fusion for plastic, but it seemed to scratch off rather easily. Maybe it needs some sort of adhesion promoter? That's why I didn't want to use it.
