A cast mopar crank is about $300 (SCAT brand in reality).

340 blocks are about $3-400 mabey a little more if it was crack tested or sonic tested and could clean up at .020 or .030.

So depending on what rods it could be just an OK deal or a smoking deal. Stock type steel rods $50, eagle I beams cost more and are worse than a stock rod, SCAT I beams are nice and about $300 eagle or SCAT H beams worth $5-600 so that is what you got to decide from.

The crank is safe to around 475hp mabey up to 500 hp.

Again the rods may or may not be "good" depending on what they are.

That is a very good deal if the block is in good shape and that is the stroker kit that you want. It should work just great for a street driver that you jump on once in awhile.

I'd probably buy it if there was a deal like that in the local paper and I don't even need those parts!

that HP life would be near infinite life. B422W5 (Don) on the race board used a MP cast crank, EXTERNALLY BALANCED in his car for 4 years with ported eddies and a solid cam (his 3400 lb duster was in the 10.7's, to give you an idea of power level). IIRC he ran it for 4 seasons, no issues. once he upgraded to a solid roller, max ported W5's, and a 9 second timeslip, he broke the crank.
