I would agree but I do put it up, just for washing, no other reason...

I've used different products over the years, Mostly I just ignore them. They seem to last just as long no matter what you do, they just look better if you reat them with something.

If it's fairly clean such as after a recent wash, I use Meguiars vinyl cleaner and dressing. If it is an older one that needs a bit more help I would use a product called NuVinyl. It actually replaces some of the compounds that vinyl loses with age and exposure. BTW you should put your top up at least several times a year for a bit to let it stretch and smooth out the creases.

Isnt it bad for the top to store it folded down longterm?

Yeah & the interior gets dusty...But I make a point of not worrying to much about it as the only reason to own a convertible is so the top can be down....

Points well taken about never having them up, but this is a daily-driven car, it sets out through the summer pretty much, and the top is down alot, but not all the time.

I've been using this stuff for years. Even on my roll up bed cover on my pickup. After 8 years out in the elements the vynil still looks great. I also use it on the interior. Not oily, contains no silicone.

Oddly, that's when I enjoy it the most, with my thinning haircrop, it's much easier on my brain

I still have a lot of this left over from when I was repping them. Of course that was before CRC owned them, so I am not sure if it is still as good.

It's a very good product, if you have a Haartz Cloth Convertible top...
