Where would be a good place to get either NOS or "correct" exhaust system pieces ? I would like to replace the system on my 70 polara convertible ( single exhaust ) . I consider the car original or period correct so I don't want custom pipes .

Good Luck with that...I checked Accurite who I thought would be your most likely source & they don't even list a C body...

NOS is probably not as hard to find as you might think, just not at shows as the chances your gonna sell it is slim

get me parts numbers needed and I ck with a local friend of mine who just might have at least part of it, maybe even all of it and nos mopar pieces

I don't know how close to factory is what they offer, but you might look into Waldron's Antique Exhaust

Thank you , I didn't know about Waldrons but looking through their web site they don't have anything listed , perhaps a phone call will give better news .
I looked at Accurate and they have nothing listed for what I need , hardly anything for C's .

Bill , I am having trouble with the part numbers . My 70 / 71 parts book isn't listing part numbers for a 1970 383 2 barrel Dodge for the tail pipe and muffler .

3404821 for the "Y" and 2643550 for the "pipe" between the Y and the muffler .

I'd prefer NOS from end to end .

Dave

Se if this sounds / looks right
1970 Polara 383 w 2bbl with single exhaust
I come up with
Y-pipe 3404821
intermediate pipe 2660511
muffler - 2534430
tail pipe - 3404808
muffler support (aka the hanger ? ) - 2240312
tail pipe hanger - 2823933 and 3404844

you need a #2925659 muffler and a #3404886 tailpipe/resonator conbination.

Bill, what I see the Y is correct (3404821). The intermediate is listed as Fury ( 2660511 ) with nothing listed for the Polara / Monaco , I have to think they would be the same but why no listing ?
2534430 looks to be a 6 cyl muffler

3404808 , again , listed as Fury but not Dodge

Hangers I am good on .

Resonator ? Probably the only thing on the car that wasn't original was the sears muzzler muffler and the tailpipe . I see in the parts book where it is listed ,, I don't know if it gets one . Good eye .
