Im getting ready to install my 360 into my duster. I just noticed that 1 is thicker than the other. Is that correct and if so,Which one goes on which side??

I'm assuming your talking about the rubber motor mount pads, if so the 340 and 360 left(driver sides)steel upper engine mounts are different than the 318. You shouldn't be able to mix them up, try putting them on the block and then look at the K member to see if they will fit that way. I think the bubber mounts are interchangable or they won't interchange . try it and see

The rubber isolators are the same, the engine brackets are different, 273-318 use the same left side bracket. 340-360 left side beackets are about 3/8" narrower than the 273-318 ones the right hand side are all the same from 67 to 72 a-body.

I got the bracket part,yes Cab,im talking about the rubber isolators. I got one with the motor and got the other from a friend. The one I got from a friend is thicker then the one I got with the motor.
Should I put the ticker one on the drivers side and try that??

It sounds like you have one truck isolator and one stock a-body isolator. The truck isolators are thicker, so if you use one of each your engine will lean to one side. I would take the thin one and go to the parts store and match it up to make sure you get the correct isolator. At no time should you ever use a thick and a thin together

I think I heard once that if you had actual NOS or assymbly line parts, one isolator was different/thicker than the other. In that case the parts book would show 2 different numbers and one for a right and one for the left. I do believe in the aftermarket they made them the same thickness (to save money etc.). Not sure if they split the difference or deleted one or the other.

If the ones you have are mopar parts with a pentastar and a PN, then the even number is the pass side and the odd number is the Driver side.

I was wrong The 69 parts book calls for the same insulator for both R and L sides on pretty much everything except the Big Block A-Bodies.

Well,We got the motor in and I put the thin isolator on the drivers side and the thicker one on the pass side... After bolting the tranny up we put a level on the intake and it was level.

Will it be ok that way???

I would check a few other things for level like the ground it sits on and put the level on the radiator support to see if it is level and also keep in mind that a builders levels are pretty generous of what level is, I put a little more faith in a starret precision level like machinist uses for leveling cylinder heads. I dont expet you to go out and buy one, but I would make sure you have exactly the same bubble on the other reference points that you have on the intake manifold

My garage is level and I used a pinion angle tool to check it but I will check it on the rad support.
