I am installing a crank trigger and need to have a locked out distributor. I have a Mallory dual point dist that has an adjustable advance plate that can be set to zero advance.(no vacuum adv)
If I set this dist to zero advance and adj the points to not touch the cam, can this distrib be used with my crank trigger?
The only problem I've seen is that Mallory doesn't make a cap to fit this distrib that uses male plug wire terminals, only the old female style.
This will save me about $250 and if I have a problem with the crank trigger or 7AL2 box, I could adjust the points and run it "old school".
Thanks ,Brian Dunnigan

You could always use a leanburn dist. and use regular wires. Could be had cheap. Mine made over 900hp with one.
