I am running a 3" TTI X-Pipe system with adapters for my Hedmen headers. I am totaly happy with the system, the only thing i dont like are the few leaks i have in the connection spots (makes the car unnecessary loud). My question is: does it make sense to weld the front part of the system together?

thats your choice , if you aren't able to take it apart now that everything is clammped together then you might as well weld it .

one thing to consider is adding a set of flanges either ahead or right behind the mufflers so you can remove the X pipe easily should you have to pull out the trans ? i did this withthe system on my dart as the exh is in the way for a clutch change and getting it completely out of the way makes my work under the car MUCH easier
