No reason why not. A/C really has nothing to do with the engine other than the compressor mounting.
Thats not entirely true...
Factory A/C cars came with an upgraded cooling system, Including a 26" radiator core support, 26" radiator, fan shroud/ bigger fan, fan clutch, different water pump...etc...
Did your 318 car come with factory A/C? If it did, your slant six condensor, assuming thats from a factory A/C slant six car, should drop right in...

While this is very true- the question was asked if it would work. I stated that there is really no reason that it wouldn't. Back in those days many after market ac's were installed with no further upgrades than the ac units them selves. In fact in our area there were very possibly more after market ac kits installed on smaller cars than OEM. We had a tech that that is about all he did was install ac units. Yes OEM they did come with heavier extra cooling capacity systems, but so did vehicles with towing packages and many non tow package vehicles got trailer hitches installed and towed with no mods or problems.

Sorry but thats nor correct either, My 69 dart GT is a factory a/c car and it has a 22" radiator.
That being said I don't see why it would not work.

My dart is/was a A/c car. Now I am just getting parts collected to return it back. Any one know if the part #'s are the same? I still have the origanl compressor, and many of the hoses. The condsor that was on it, was welded in and had odd connectors.
