got a rebuilt pwoer steering gear from auto parts store and there is still a bunch of slop in the front end all the front end is new and tight how do you adjust a power steering unit some one said threr was a nut and screw i looked for it and cant find it more help please thanks in advance

on the top there is a nut/set screw for the worm gear the specs are in most auto manuals [MOTOR,CHILTONS]i can look it up tonight.i have a fast ratio box that felt the same.

Did you get it at a chain store? If so, they're not the best quality to start with. The chain store box I got for my F150 wasn't as tight as the 120,000 mile unit it replaced. The 5A got a box from Steer and Gear, and I couldn't be happier with it.
