Anonymous OP Unregistered A	got a rebuilt pwoer steering gear from auto parts store and there is still a bunch of slop in the front end all the front end is new and tight how do you adjust a power steering unit some one said threr was a nut and screw i looked for it and cant find it more help please thanks in advance

blownzoom440 B Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 8,647 ELYRIA,OH	on the top there is a nut/set screw for the worm gear the specs are in most auto manuals [MOTOR,CHILTONS]i can look it up tonight.i have a fast ratio box that felt the same. TTYL.

The chain store box I got for my F150 wasn't as tight as the 120,000 mile unit it replaced. The 5A got a box from Steer and Gear, and I couldn't be happier with it. 1987 Fifth Avenue - 512/518/D60
