Hello, is anyone running the Brembo front disc brake kit? I was looking at the ones Just suspension sells and was curious how good they are. Do they move the spindle in or out at all or do they fit like the stock ones? Thanks

Just took a look at the "Brembo" kits Just Suspension has, and I would only go that route for the bling.

But to answer your second question, looks like its mounted on a stock spindle and stock rotor. All they did was hang a lotus caliper on there.

I wouldn't call that a brembo kit, more like a common brembo caliper adapter kit....short of going with a full on custom Bremo Gran turismo package, AndyF's big red caliper/porsche rotor for the mustang wheels is about the best pakage I have seen. That is unless Cass has some secret mondo brake kit that he is not telling us about.

A couple customers requested a 14" Brembo kit so I had a few made.

My largest front brake kit includes second generation Viper calipers and 14" Charger SRT rotors with billet hubs. I also have a matching 13" rear kit that uses Mustang Cobra calipers.

My Brembo contact says that:

"Thanks to our exclusive relationship with BremboŽ, high performance disc brake kits with Brembo calipers are now available for your muscle car!"

Is pure marketing drivel and completely FALSE. Steer clear.

I was a little surprised to see someone advertising a Brembo kit that Brembo didn't appear to engineer.

Last time I talked with Brembo it became clear that they weren't interested in muscle cars and they had zero intention of helping anyone else do a muscle car conversion kit. Basically, if they weren't going to do it then nobody was going to do it.

Kind of too bad since the Brembo stuff is a lot better than the Baer stuff. But I guess if they don't want to sell into the musclecar marketplace then you can't force them.

I did a Lotus conversion kit for Mopars years ago. About 10 years ago if I remember correctly. It didn't work which is why I dropped it and went with the Viper caliper. If they are actually using the Lotus caliper then the car won't stop very well.

Yeah, they basically knocked off your idea. There was a picture in an MA article wasnt there?

Did you get those binders I sent you? Let me know if you need me to send you some spreadsheets to make the part numbers matter.

Yep, it does look like a knock off of my idea. I'll look around for my original pictures. That isn't the first time Just Suspension has copied my stuff, take a look at their LCA plates.

I did get some binders in the mail the other day, thanks for that stuff. Some spreadsheets to make sense of it all would be a big help.

Thanks guys I'll steer clear. Another ? then. I was looking at the wilwood kits and on Jegs site it says the HD kit for 2800lb cars and lighter. But doinfg a search here shows many b and e body street cars running them. Is that a misprint on Jegs site? Thanks http://www.jegs.com/p/Wilwood/744530/10002/-1/10155

Here is an old picture of my Lotus kit. I did this one back around 2000. It didn't work because the piston size was too small so it is funny that Just Suspension has copied it. They'll have some upset customers, especially if the people pay $2000 for it.

How hard would it be to adapt the Viper calipers to a late b-body, or an fmj car to run with the 11.75 hd rotor and the stock disc brake spindle. Mostly curiosity, as I plan on using The most excelant 13" AR setup on my Mirada when its done.

I was "this" close to bidding until I realized it was $25.99 for shipping. Dang it!
