Is this a good piston? 2332P?

They seem a little heavy, but theya re brand new, and were FREE. For my father in laws 340 for the Cuda. .030 over and the block is already a fresh .030 for a forged set up.

They were anchors... if its a street car they will
work... for a bracket/race engine I would use a KB
before them... JMO

Strictly a street engine. Might get beat on a little bit, but we arent worried about bob weight. I did order the scat I beam rod, so Im sure its gonna need some meet taken outa the pistons, and some added to the crank.

Is that the 2 or 4 valve relief ones? Had a buddy running a nitrous 340 in with the 2 valve relief running 11.60's. Raced that car every weekend during the summer for 5 years on 340 rods with milodin bolts. never had an issue.

for free you could afford some lightening, for street, cut off domes and get liter pins.

Does anyone know the compression these pistons will yield? I have been told 10:1, but I did get a set of EDDY heads for the 340, and am just curious.

Those should have a large dome unless they have been milled off..

with the large dome and 64 cc head..they were a 12.5 to 1 piston.....and they will not work with a close chamber head......

I have an old set of .060 with MP part number on them...and another set still in a 340 with the domes partially cut off..

also the Speed Pro piston 7035P is the same piston.

Are you sure??

These are brand new, have 2 valve reliefs in them, and have never been milled off. they have p2332 .030 on them. They have a slight chamfer on the edges of the top, and they dont look too bad at all. The similar piston for a 273 or 318 says 9:1 but I cant find anything on these.

I have a set of the 12.5 to 1 pistons in a dirt track 360 Hermaphrodite engine we ran for a while and those were milled off so they were legal. This piston looks nothing like any mill marks on it, and is tas a funky center hole in it that from what Dan at performance only and I can tell was used as a centering device to chuck the pistons up with.

ok...did a little research ...those are seal power pistons...they are the same as a trw 2316...

they are a 10.5 piston flat top...

sounds like an old number for the trw L2316.
I actually measured the volume for one of those some time ago but i cant remeber what i came up with.
Think that the small flat dome took out the valve reliefs so they where +-0cc.

Hope the chambers on the eddy heads dont make the compression too high for a street car.

I guess I can get a thicker head gasket from Mopar Performance or something.

those pistons "might" have a positive deck height...

put the fel pro 5335 head which is .053 thick should help ya out..

I dont think so because thats the way i ran mine.
You do have the heads made for a 340 with 65cc chambers?

a better idea would be to send the heads back and get the "closed" chamber modell and then mill the pistons to get 0 deck height.
That way if you want to build anything else in the future it will be easy to get pistons witch is not the case with the your heads.

This engine is as basic of a rebuild as you can get. My dad-in-law is not like me, once its built, its done, and hell just drive it.

No racing at all for him, just wnats to enjoy his car.

he already has the closed chamber heads, not the open chamber.
