I need to find a center chunk for my Duster,an I would like to get one with a date code that will work with the cars build date. Is there a date stamped on the chunk that I can look for ? or where they dated with a stamp ? which may not be visable anymore.

I`m thinking it would be dated anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks prior to the build date of the car, does this sound somewhat normal or not?

What's the build date on your car. I have a pumpkin out of a late built 71 car.

date code are CAST on the chunk itself , as long as its BEFORE your SCHEDULED production date you should be good .

i never paid attention to the dating spans of chuck casting to gear dating .

Thanks John,It has always been something I`ve never really paid any attention either. Looking to put together a car to use for some pure stock fun, an while I`m at it might as well pull my hair out a little more am make the dates on things jive with the car since someone down the line took the all e-bag parts off of it .
