Well have gathered up enough parts and pieces to do a little mock-up on the valiant....cut-out the trans tunnel today for the 4-speed and slid the motor and tranny in for a trial fit....fits like a glove....so far so good

Buddy dropped of a 360 block today also....if it ck's out, looks like an upgrade from the 318/390 to 360/408 is in the future plans....again

Also scored a brand new never mounted race-weight fiberglass hood, so I won't have to carve up the stock hood

I love the 4-speed choice. I have 2 spare Ramrods if your interested (1-Mr. Gasket, 1 newer Hurst), I went to a Long with the G-force, and the others on the shelf. PM if your interested.
Are you going to be able to keep that long rod behind the carbs with the new hood?

Thanks Andre, yes the rods can stay but I just scored a brand new race weight fiberglass hood that will get cut up and Dzus fastened, I'll keep the stock hood just in case I change the tunnel ram out some day...?????

I am amazed at how solid this car is

You have a PM

I meant a second race car, do you still have the vette? Or is this a street project?

Sorry, no the vette is goooone and now resides in South Carolina, still have the 565, just sold the glide and vert This one will serve double duty, but mainly a fun street cruiser

Fun to be back messing with Mopars

Might want to look up another transmission , the old ball & trunion joints weren't the strongest .

Rick, I hate to break it to ya, but that hood ain't gonna clear the air cleaners, not unless you slam down that hood, REALLY hard!!....

I thought you were going for the sleeper look, but hey, I totally dig the street freak look as well!

Are you planning to mini-tub it? With a 4 speed and a 408, them little back tires will be SCREAMIN' FOR MERCY!!

No Tubbing a set of 9" Drag Radials will have to do

That darn t-ram just sitting on the shelf finally got to me

I don't see any headers in "the glove".
