With Dog Dishes, was the rim always body color, or did they also come satin black?

My GTS now has aftermarket 15" rally's, but I'm buying the correct 14x5.5J steelies off Egag as I see them, trying to get a full set. My GTS originally came with full wheel "deluxe" covers, so the rim would have been satin black. My car is Q5, so if it had been equipped with dog dishes, would the rims be Q5, or could they have been black?

They were body color until late 70 or early 71, then they were all black. My 68 GTS was coded green and my 70 340 Swinger is coded purple, but a friends 71 Swinger is coded black with dog dishes (the car is purple).

They were never satin black.

Stop playing hard to get! What were they then, gloss or flat black?

All steel wheel colors were gloss. '69 with hub caps should be body color, with wheel covers would be black.

Check the build sheet to see what it was coded for, could have been a wheel cover that got changed at the dealership. Not questioning you, just trying to get all the info.

I had a December built 71 Cuda dog dish car. Broadcast sheet called for ev2 wheels, car was delivered with black. Found original owner who had pictures of car when he took delivery. 14" wheel car if that matters.
