I have a 71 plymouth duster thinking about running NHRA superstock. The car would fall into SS/IA,SS/JA,SS/KA. Anyone run one these cars with a 340. If so take a look at the pictures. Is it legal. It's back halfed all steel and glass. The orginal firewall is still intact. Im unsure about how much you can do as far as the back-half. Any input would be helpful. thanks moparts

A lot has changed in the Stock & SS rules, but generally NHRA is allowing more modifications and requiring more safety equipment. There are additional requirements for SS cars with modified floors but you really need a current NHRA rulebook. At a glance, your car looks like a lot of the GT category cars. Not sure what the current rules are regarding rear suspension.
One could say that at least back in the '70s, 340 Dusters did pretty well in SS/IA...

See if you can get this moved to the "Race" section. Probably get a lot more input there.
