Can a nuetral safety switch be tested with an ohm meter? I have one installed in the trans and I'm not getting ANY reading from it going through the gears. This is both with the wire connector hooked up and not. I'm trying to get my mine installed and working and trying to get the rev lights to work..FINALLY.
When you decide to quit, THAT is the moment when you would've succeeded..

To bench test a 3-prong switch, there should be continuity between the center prong and the metal plunger in the plastic ring inside. When the plunger is depressed there should be continuity between the two outer prongs.

To test the installed 3-prong switch, ground one lead of the meter to the case and the other lead to the center prong; there should be continuity in Neutral and Park.
With the meter leads on the outer prongs there should be continuity in Park only.
