swapdaddyxx1 OP member S Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 149 Alabama	I have an old cable shifted cast iron trans,supposed to have had recent rebuild when I purchased it years ago. Any one up on these things enough to help me identify? I don't know if three speed or two speed. Does not have bellhousing,were all cast autos built that way. Jerry

Also, at least on my 56, the powerflite shift cable goes directly into the tranny casting, not into the bolt-on attachment shown in pic "2" above.
