Hey all! I got a stock 360 magnum short block ready to be put together and was wondering about the balance of it. I know they are balanced different the a LA 360. I want to know if these parts would be a direct bolt on and require no messing around. tranny is a 904 and the torque converter is neutral balanced.

flexplate

balancer

Thanks

I don't know if you are interested in this as an option but I bought these weights and used the magnum flexplate with stock 904 converter. I am extremely pleased and spent under $50...

So if I bought those weights could I use a neutral balance flexplate then weld those weights on my converter to balance it out? I have a 9" PTC 3500 btw.

Heres what you want to do, scout the boneyards for a 360 magnum flexplate with the weights "ON" it, then you can run neutral balanced converters, look at the later blocks (1998-2002), B&M no longer makes the flexpate for the 904 too 360 magnum, just the 727 too 360 magnum, now thats not to say the 727 flexplate won't work .

I bought one of the 904 to Magnum B&M units from CRT a couple of months ago. It wouldn't hurt to check and see if he still has some stock.

Do you have the flexplate from the 2002 magnum, i'm sure they had weights on them in that year. If not, scout the junkyards for one from a 360 magnum that has the weights.
