I'm planning on buying a thread in style sending unit for my electric fan setup as my radiator probe style unit is not working. Theres two options I can choose: a 185* ON/170* OFF or a 200* ON/180* OFF. I have a 180* TSTAT installed on a 360 magnum engine. Its just a street car two as well. Also, This will be installed on my intake manifold on the opposite side of the temp gauge sending unit (right by the upper radiator hose) if that makes a difference.

i run a 180* stat, 185*on/170*off. Seems to work fine for me.

ok great, heres another question about the placement of the sending unit: I just noticed that on the top of the radiator there is a plug where I could install it. It is on the passenger side top of the radiator above the lower hose. would this be a better spot then to the left of the thermostat housing (air gap manifold)?

How much more $ are the adjustable units versus the non-adjustables? I'd think I would want to be able to tune when my fan kicked in/out.

paid $17 for the adjustable one on my pickup. But the on/off temp is the same which im not too crazy about. I like it to turn off cooler. but just me.
