I just spent 4 hours replacing the ones in my 67 cuda because the drivers side one was broken...

HAD A HELL OF A TIME getting the lower bolt out as it would just spin the mount (they are factory style locknuts) - I used locktite and regular nuts when I put them back in...

If it was not for this it would not have been a big deal...

I used the polylock ones; starting the car up and taking it to work tomorrow... - I also replaced the trans mount.

The best option for a-body owners is to use the spool mounts...

Well, a quick report on the polylocks... You can feel a lot more motor vibration, but the car feels a LOT tighter.

The vibration is not bad but it is farther from a Cadillac, starting it you can feel the starter.

I need to get some more miles but overall good but they are noticeably stiffer then the factory ones.

One thing that concerns me is I got a torque strap from shumacker as well (for the other car), and the welds on the bottom part of the strap are horrible (no penetration, just stuck on the top) makes me wonder about the welds in the motor mount...

I have a 70 Bee with a WILD 383 4-speed in her and I was busting motor mounts ALL THE TIME, then chained the motor down and busted the chain a few times as well.. Then around the time I was deciding to park the car for good Schumacher came out with the poly-lock motor mount..I said what the hell, and yes they were spendy, BUT I have NEVER had a problem with the motor mounts ever again and pound on her even harder GOD I LOVE MOPARS!!!!

There is a post somewhere on this forum about just buying the cheap biscuit style mounts. Drill two holes through the drivers side mount and then put in two grade 8 bolts and locknuts through it. You have the nice soft rubber mounts to keep down the vibration that lock up when you get on it without buying those expensive locking ones.
