Ok, I know our 68-70 Chargrs got this cheapo ground strap that jumped the rubber fuel line from the sending unit to the steel gas line, but did all Chrysler products get them? I thought I fixed my dads fuel gauge on their new 70 chally vert since I found the brass float got a hole and leaked in gas. I replaced the float and it still does not work. There is no ground strap on this either. Does it need it? I tested the gauge out by grounding the sending unit wire and it worked perfectly. Now only if I can get it to work the way it was intended.....

Every one that has the rubber hose interrupting chassis ground will need the strap. You can also use a wire hose-clamped to the hard line on each side of the hose as a test, or if originality isn't a concern.
