We had a bad day at the track!!! I replaced the broken 8 3/4 rear end with a fab 9 so all brackets were changed and ladder bar adjustments. We lost .1 in our 60 ft. times. Car spun bad and hanled terrible. With the best 60 ft. of 1.40. We scaled the car last year and ended up 593# drivers rear and #674 pass. rear. This year we started at 610# d.r. and #655 p.r. I realize these were not exact but were heavier on pass. side as last year. Wondering if anyone has an idea of how to correct this problem. Thank you to all replies.

depends on whats causing the problem. you control the suspension with your shock adjustment. rasing or lowering the front ladder bar adustment controls how hard it hits(along with shocks)could the angle of the ladder bars changed? is it angled down, level or up compared the ground? what kind of shocks? the weather and air alone can effect your 60' depending what time of the year you were out last.

Sound like a bad track or the wrong tire air pressure adjustment....

First off I would check to make sure all the brackets are square on the new housing. Then pull the front R.S. ladder bar bolt to see if it has preload (with driver in the car). It should with the weights you have posted. You have access to scales so I would start by equalling weights on both rear wheels. I also feel that 3.5 degrees is to much pinion angle. 1.0-1.5 should be enough. Provided the car now goes straight traction can be fine tuned with shocks, tire pressure, and possible ladder bar front pivot location. If not add slight preload opposite of the direction the car dives towards at the stating line. Also changing the front torsion bar tension will load the opposite rear wheel as well. When scaling the car, roll it up on the scales on a level area, don't jack it and slide the scales under.
Good luck Doug

top hole may be to much, I would make the the bottom bar at least level with the ground. dvw had some good suggestions also. 3.5 pinion angle is to much for a ladder bar car.

appreciate all the replies I will change the pinion angle to 1.5 the brackets are on square as far as the front bar anchor point was the same last year and worked good any more suggestions?

You say it was spinning... was it right at the hit or
a little out... which way was the car pulling
You should take a video of the launch to see whats
happening
