I've read all the information I can find on various postings regarding using F-body components on both early A and B bodies when doing disc brake conversions. I recently talked to a guy that raced circle track for years and he seemed to think that changing to F-Body spindles actually improved the handling and geometry. He indicated that he would rather run F-body and sell the parts to the "purists" rather than use the existing disc brake set-ups (specifically on A-body).

Any opinions either way on both A and/or B? I've got both just in the starting phases and am planning on converting both, just looking for some opinions!

Thanks

Never, ever argue with an IDIOT. They will drag you to their level and then beat you with their years of experience

I seem to recall some limited discussion on that issue.

I have a bunch of customers who run my 13 inch Viper setup on the F body knuckles for road race applications. The FMJ knuckles are slightly taller and lighter. Combine them with the FFI upper control arms and you have a great combination for track days.

My son's Barracuda now has the F/M/J spindles, but has not been driven with them. We did the swap (already had late a-body spindles on the car) because of the improved geometry and the fact that none of the naysayers had ever done it and all the people who said it worked had them on their car.
