I'd like to see some engine photo's. I'm putting together a 440 for my 70 satellite. Should I paint the intake engine color or leave it bare? Has anyone tried painting the stock valve covers black wrinkle? Just kicking around some ideas..I'll probably end up with the black MP covers and leave the intake alone....

here's my old 383. The new 451 won't look much different.

Here's a pic of mine. I'm getting ready to pull the motor to redo everything under the hood. I painted the stock valve covers and air cleaner with a textured black outdoor paint made by krylon. I planned on changing the intake so I shot the stock intake black because I ran out of engine paint. Going with an entirely different paint scheme for the motor next time though.

Here's a picture of the 440+6... I did black wrinkle paint on my '70 RR when I was a kid... harkens to the 273 Cammando...

I was thinking about torquoise and trying to make it look like a 383 since it's only a lowly satellite....Is that an rpm on your's?

Here is my 451 in my 71 Valiant. It's not on the road yet, but I hope really soon.

Here it is with the water pump on and the radiator in. The fuel system isn't done. I only used this line for start up.
