I recall a '70 'Cuda with a 318 that had a black shift ball on the stick...or was it white?

Definately a ball, though.

I've seen cars with black, white and wood grain balls that's why I'm wondering what is correct. I need to find one for my car.

Ken, over the years,......haven't seen/ parted many 3 spd E bodies,.....but the ones I have always had a black shift knob?......but who knows what Ma' did back then?.........but that round ball was a factory defect,.......usally corrected with a dose of "pistol grip"

My 70 3spd came with this type knob. I think the white ones you have seen might be the generic Hurst aftermarket versions which are sold by Summit or Jegs.

Cool, thanks for the picture. I thought black was correct, but figured I'd check. I found an NOS shift boot for mine already, so now I gotta find a shift knob.

Funny cause I'm hunting for a NOS boot now that I have the knob. I was lucky and found here on Moparts. I'll let you know if I come across another NOS one for sale.
