Trying to see what trap RPM is and cannot read my tach. The needle goes up and down smoothly at launch and through shift changes, but just before finnish line the needle bounces from 6000 RPM to 7500 RPM.
I have a Autometer monster tack, MSD 7AL2 gold ignition box. I have the high side chip removed, because with a 7000 RPM chip installed, the engine "misses" (like on the limiter) right at the top of the gear changes (5800 RPM chip in air shifter, hooked to the ign box) and also in high gear, just before finnish line. Pull the high side limit chip out and its OK, no miss. These are probably related, but what could cause this???
Thanks, Brian
