Is there a difference in racing when you use a 26" tall front tire to a 28" tall front tire??

Roll out is different which can/will change your reaction
time if you leave the same for both

Raff is right...When I went from the taller tire to a 26" MT...It took time to find the sweet spot on my RT....

Also the taller front tires will help transfer weight
better(your moving the engine up higher so its closer
to the CG height) if you dont lower the body back
down with the bars or springs

All of the above plus you'll have to trim alot off the front of the wheel opening to get a 28 inch tire to work in a Duster fender...don't ask me how I know

Just watch out for the tire rubbing the fender lip

I'm partial to 7.10-15 Moroso Drag Specials. They require trimming the front edge. I've always wondered, if a different offset front wheel would help.

I put a set of 710x15 Moroso on my 1971 DusterHad 26 inch tall M/T front runners)(that use to have cherry fenders, not any more ) they rubbed on the front lower corners when turning and on the bolts in the rear that held the splash pans on I tried both offsets for the front wheels and still had to trim the front edge and removed the offending bolts and bend the tabs in raising the front end some may have helped but I was at a reace when I put them on, once I got in the car the problem got worst, I wonder why 260 lbs maybe

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
