Thanks for the comments
The car is pretty basic, just you're basic bracket car. It's all steel except for a fiberglass front bumper. - 8 point rollbar, frame rails tied together -Tubbed to the frame rails, -ART ladderbars, 32" long, Double adjustable Varishocks with 130# springs -29.5X 10.5X 15 slicks, 10" Centerline Telstar wheels on back, 4"s up front -Dana 60 with 4.56 gears, all Mosier components -Dynotech aluminum driveshaft Front suspension is stock except for caltrac 90/10's
The motor is a 408 with Indy 360-2 cnc heads. -'75 360 block with enlarged main oiling passages -K1 forged crank -K1 H-beam rods with ARP 2000 bolts -Diamond flat top pistons, works out to 10.3 cr with the big indy chambers -Total seal rings ( i wouldn't waste the money on them again) The Indy Heads have been touched up by Brett Miller (W5Dart66) over the winter and he also ported my Indy intake to 4500 flange. -Predator Roller cam, 264,268 @ .050 108lsa .698 gross lift with my T&D 1.6 rockers -Holley 1050 Dominator
727 with reverse manual valvebody, basic performance rebuild 8" converter (originally a Dynamic) that has just been rebuilt by Lenny @ ultimate converter.
The car had previously went a best of 10.38 @ 128 prior to Brett doing the head/intake work, and he also had the cam reground to better match the rest of the combination. The only time i got out so far this year, the car went a best of 10.17 @ 131 but the converter was flashing 5900 and slipping 15% on the other end. So, i sent it to lenny to have it rebuilt and tightened up. Hopefully it'll run a high 9 second pass next time out, which looks to be next weekend. -Andy
